PURPOSE:To obtain a stable ghost eliminating performance, by processing waveform information obtained by analog-digital-converting a prescribed period including a front ridge of a vertical synchronizing signal and rewriting a data of a memory storing the amount of ghost. CONSTITUTION:A video detecting output is taken as an input to a transversal filter 7 and the ghost is eliminated by correcting a tap weighting coefficient of the transversal filter 7 with an output of a weight coefficient correcting circuit 9. A memory of the weight coefficient correcting circuit 9 stores the tap coefficient of the transversal filter 7 and the memory 13 stores the amount of detected ghost. An operation processing circuit 11 processes waveform obtained by A/D-converting a prescribed period including the front ridge of the vertical synchronizing signal, gives the maximum ghost to the memory 13 and corrects the tap coefficient storage memory of the weight coefficient correcting circuit 9, when a value of the memory 13 reaches a value or over after the end of the tap coefficient correction. |
