PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium of high quality, by providing a recording film on which holes and grooves for recording and information is formed by combustion and gasification due to light heating on a substrate, preparing a transparent protecting film having rugged faces on the recording film side, and securing spaces for liberating a generated gas at the recording. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording film 2 is formed on a substrate 1 made of transparent acrylic resin or the like by coating a solution of polymer contg. a mixture of a photoabsorbent and nitrocellulose. A protecting film 7 of transparent polypropylene or the like having rubbed parts 8 of 20mu>diameter>2mu on one side of the faces is joined with the rugged face faced to the film 2 to prepare an optical recording medium. A laser beam is irradiated on this recording medium from the side of the film 7 or the substrate 1, and the signal grooves are recorded by combustion or gasification of the film 2. A generated gas is diffused at the rugged part 8 to record accurately. And the recorded film is prevented from staining and hurting with dust, and deteriorating by oxidation or the like. |
