PURPOSE:To prevent any defective electric contact which might be caused by the shrinkage of an insulating plate by forming the insulating plate, which is interposed between the protruded part of a thin terminal plate attached to the brimmed current-collecting part of an output terminal and a stack-tightening holder plate, by the use of a ceramic member. CONSTITUTION:The output terminals 3 of a fuel cell stack 1 formed by alternately stacking many unit cells and many gas-separating plates, are led outside an upper and a lower holder plate 4 for the stack 1. At this point, a thin terminal plate 6 having a protruded part 8 is superposed on the surface layer of the stack 1 which consists of a carbonaceous gas-separating plate 5. On the thin terminal plate 6, an insulating plate 17 consisting of an outer peripheral fluorine-resin part 171 touching the outer peripheral flat part of the terminal plate 6 and an inner peripheral ceramic part 172 touching the protruded part 8, is superposed. In addition, the brimmed current-collecting part 31 of the output terminal 3 is attached to the protruded part 8, and the led out part 32 of the output terminal 3 is securely attached inside the holder plate 4. As a result, owing to the ceramic member 172, any generation of defective contact which might be caused by the shrinkage of the insulating plate 17 can be prevented. |
