PURPOSE:To increase the oil-saving effect of the titled tank by a method wherein at least all sides in front and rear and on right and left, and each straight-lined side located at the corner part of above-mentioned sides intersecting with the adjoining sides making an obtuse angle, are formed into polygonal shape having corrugated fins provided in radial form, thereby enabling to eliminate the dead space at the corner of the tank. CONSTITUTION:The side plate 11 of a tank is formed as follows. A steel plate, whereon a number of corrugated fins 12 are provided, is bent at the point between a corrugated fin and another corrugated fin, the steel plate is joined together making at least one joint 13 on the whole circumference, and all sides 11a, 11b, 11c and 11d in front and rear and on right and left, and straight-lined sides 11e, 11f, 11g and 11h, which are positioned at four corners intersecting with the adjoining sides, are formed in such a manner that they have an octagonal outline with corrugated fins 12 arranged in radial form. The corrugated fins 12 are joined together at the upper and lower ends, and they are airtightly sealed by welding. The upper flange 14 and the tank botton plate 15 have the octagonal outline same as that of the tank side plate 11, and the corrugated tank is constituted by having the upper and lower edge of the tank side plate 11 joined to the side corresponding to the upper flange 14 and the tank side plate 15 by welding. |
