PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the resolving degree of a camera, by selecting a photo-multiplier releated to positional calculation by the distance from a light emitting point to certainly remove a signal large in statistical error as compared to the case selecting by the size of the output of the photo-multivibrator. CONSTITUTION:Line sum amplifiers 21, 22 add the outputs of photomultiplier (PMT) arranged in line directions at positions x1, x2 and the obtained signal is sent to a summary position calculating circuit 51 to roughly calculate the position of a light emitting point in a direction X. In this case, a position calculating control circuit 52 controls sample hold circuits 41, 42 on the basis of the summary position and only a signal at a position near to the light emitting point among signals integrated by integration circuits 31, 32 is selected to be sent to a position calculating circuit through sample hold. By this method, a signal large in a statistical error can be certainly removed as compared to the case selecting by the size of the PMT output and the inherent resolving degree of a scintillation camera can be improved. |
