PURPOSE:To generate a water jet directed astern and obtain a thrust, by directly utilizing the force of explosion of a mixed gas of a fuel and oxygen. CONSTITUTION:Reaction chambers 3, 3 for exploding by igniting a mixed gas of natural gas (which is fed from a gas tank 1 and is spontaneously evaporated) and oxygen which is fed from an oxygen cylinder 2 are provided in left and right pair in the interior of the ship's hull 4. A bifurcated cylindrical bocy 7 having water inflow ports 5, 5 on the stem side and a water outflow port on the center line of the ship's hull on the stern side is provided at a bottom part of the ship's hull 4. The reaction chambers 3, 3 are connected to the cylindrical body 7 at positions in proximity to the inflow ports 5, 5 through connecting pipes 8, 8. Valve bodies 10, 10 automatically open the connecting pipes 8, 8 and automatically close the ports 5, 5 at the time of explosion of the mixed gas in the reaction chambers 3, 3, and they automatically close the pipes 8, 8 and automatically open the ports 5, 5 at the non-explosion time. |
