PURPOSE:To ensure the recognition by a method wherein the display of a digital value is made dark until a balance detecting means generates a balance detection output when an article is put on a scale tray, and then it is made bright when the balance detection output is generated. CONSTITUTION:When an article is put on a scale tray 1, the indication of an electronic digital weighing machine varies until an output of a load cell incorporated in a casing 2 reaches a saturation value. In this case, the display in a weight display element 3 is made dark until said saturation value is reached. Then, when it is detected that a corresponding digital display value shows no variation for one second, the display in the weight display element 3 is turned bright according to a signal informing said detectin. By this method, a balance can surely be recognized, and thus weighing operation can be performed without anxiety. |
