PURPOSE:To prepare a thermally denatured deoxyribonucleic acid TD-01 having high antitumor activity and extremely low toxicity, by centrifuging disintegrated cells of bacteria belonging to STreptococcus genus, and heating the obtained nucleic acid fraction. CONSTITUTION:Cells of a bacterial strain belonging to Streptococcus genus, e.g. Streptococcus pyogenes ATCC21060, Streptococcus faecalis ATCC8043, etc. are disintegrated and centrifuged, and the obtained extract free from the bacterial cell is treated directly with an organic solvent to obtain a nucleic acid fraction, or said cell-free extract liquid is added with a nucleic acid coagulant to obtain a precipitate containing a nucleic acid fraction. The obtained nucleic acid fraction is heated at about 80-120 deg.C to obtain a thermally denatured deoxyribonucleic acid Td-01 having antitumor activity. |
