PURPOSE:To attain the overlap recording with one set of recorder/reproducer, by mixing a reproduced video signal obtained from a recording medium via an auxiliary head with a prescribed video signal, and recording a mixed output signal on a recording medium by a main head. CONSTITUTION:A luminance signal component of a reproduced video signal reproduced at auxiliary heads 18, 19 is applied with FM-demodulation, a chrominance signal component is returned to the original band and inputted to a variable mixer 44 and a frequency converter 35. On the other hand, a signal desired to be recorded newly (post signal) is separated into the luminance signal component and the chrominance signal component by an LPF 40 and a BPF 41, the luminance signal component is inputted to the variable mixer 44, where the component is added to that of the pre-signal and its output is inputted to a mixer 43 via an FM modulator 43. On the other hand, the chrominance signal component is converted into a low frequency at a frequency converting circuit 38, the signal is added to the chrominance signal component of the pre-signal converted into a low frequency at a variable mixer 36, and its output is inputted to the mixer 42. A synthesized video signal is outputted at the mixer 42 and the overlap recording is atained with main heads 47, 48 via a recording amplifier 51. |
