PURPOSE:To prevent damage to packing and vibration of door of a falling gate by a method in which an aperture into which air is flowed in is provided between the water-tight plate of a pier and the end of the door and a packing is slidably attached to the water-tight plate on the upstream side of the side plate of the door. CONSTITUTION:A sufficient aperture (c) into which air flows is provided between the water-tight plate 7 of a pier 5 and the end of a door 1, and a side plate 12 is provided from the end of the door 1 to the upstream side. A packing 13 is attached from the rocking fulcrum of the lower end to the upper end to the side on the upstream side of the side plate 12 having an inversed triangular form with narrowed lower end, and the packing 13 is slidably and closely contacted with the water-tight plate 7. When the door 1 is erected up to the heighest level, an aperture 8 leading to the air is formed between the end of overflow water 8 and the pier 5, the pressure of the space (a) on the back of the door 1 becomes atmospheric pressure, and the vibration of the door 1 is prevented. When the door 1 is in the state of the chain line, no damage to the packing 13 occurs because the packing 13 does not pass through the end of the downwstream of the pier 5. |
