PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of an image carrier and to realize a highly durable process kit, by providing a process means which operates on the image carrier, light transmission part which guides external exposure light to the image carrier, and a filter which cuts short-wavelength light at the light transmission part. CONSTITUTION:When the kit 30 is loaded at a specific position, a cover 20 exposes a photosensitive drum automatically to allow picture formation; when an upper housing 17 is opened, the exposed part in the circumferential surface of the drum 3 is covered to cut off light, so the influence of the light is eliminated while scratching is prevented. When the kit is attached and detached, said kit is moved along rails 31 and 32. At this time, the constitution of the cover shields the exposed part of the drum 3 at a transfer part against light. An opening for exposing the photosensitive drum 3 to the reflected light image of an original and an opening for guiding light for pre-exposure are provided at the upper part of the kit 30 and the light from those openings exerts adverse influence upon the photoreceptor, so the filter for cutting short-wavelength light is disposed to prevent the deterioration of the photoreceptor due to external light and internal light. Thus, the deterioration of the image carrier is prevented to realize the process kit which includes the image carrier with improved durability. |
