The subject of the invention is an electroacoustic power transducer for deep submersion, of the TONPILZ type, comprising a horn, a stack of piezoelectric discs and a countermass, this assembly being made rigid by means of a prestress axis, the said assembly being surrounded by an envelope 2 containing an internal wall 21 and an elastic external wall 2E delimiting a gas-filled chamber, the said transducer furthermore being provided with a case 3 intended to limit the expansion of the external wall of the envelope, characterised in that the external wall 2E is rendered partially inelastic in such a way that for each slice of this wall assumed sectioned perpendicularly to the said prestress axis, the sum of the portions of perimeter of this wall which remain elastic is proportional to the maximum elongation undergone by this slice.
