The invention concerns a case, in particular for the packaging of video cassettes or of any other types of recording on magnetic tapes. The invention is characterised in that the jacket 6 is constituted from a plastic transparent film, printed on the inside (from the surface 61 facing the case), this film being made from a material which is miscible with that of the case in order to allow "welded" fixing on the periphery 8 of the outside face of the two parts 1, 2 constituting the said case, the printed area 7 of the film 6 being located such that it is set back from the outer edge of the said film 6 in order to leave a clear margin 63 around the edge of the latter thus favouring the joining-together of the case and the jacket. This case is applicable to any recording whose authenticity is required to be guaranteed. <IMAGE>
