The present invention concerns woodwork. It concerns, in particular, a device for straightening objects which are out of true, comprising two lever-effect nuts 1, 2 screwed into the object 3 which is out of true. The opposite ends of the said nuts 1, 2 are connected to a traction device 6, 7, 8, 9 on which a pressure spring 11 acts, in its median section, by the intermediary of a pressure screw 12. By rotating the pressure screw 12, the traction device 6, 7, 8, 9 is elastically deformed and the lever-effect nuts 1, 2 are pulled towards each other, which has the effect of straightening the object 3 which is out of true. The invention applies in particular to front doors distorted under the effect of humidity and temperature differences. <IMAGE>
