PURPOSE:To improve the slope-ascending and the warming-up performance of a car through a simple and inexpensive constitution, by a method wherein speed change control is effected according to an enlarged deviation signal outputted when the deviation from a set car speed is enlarged, and a cooling water temperature detecting signal. CONSTITUTION:An enlarged deviation signal 100 is outputted from a constant speed running device 10 consisting of an ECU, by means of a transistor Tr 12 when the deviation from a set car speed is enlarged, while a cooling water detecting signal 102 is outputted from a cooling water detector 16. According to the signals 100 and 102, Tr28-Tr32 are turned ON or OFF via a speed change control circuit 20 and driving control is made on solenoids 34 and 36 for shifting and a solenoid 38 for locking-up. In this case, either the enlarged deviation signal 100 or the cooling water temperature detecting signal 102 is outputted as a continuous signal, while the other signal is outputted as a discontinuous signal, and the two signals 100 and 102 are inputted to a gear-shifting control circuit 20 through a common input terminal 40. |
