PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid developer retaining good dispersion stability even after long-term use or long-term storage and giving good image density, by using a specified chain polymer as a fixing agent. CONSTITUTION:A developer is obtained by uniformly kneading a mixture of a chain polymer consisting of a cross-linked polymer soluble in a carrier soln., prepd. by cross-linking a vinyl polymer having active hydrogen atoms reactive with isocyanate groups, with an isocyanate compd., and a vinyl polymer insoluble in the carrier soln. captured by tangling of mutual long polymer chains, as a fixing agent; a colorant, such as pigment or dye, further, when needed, a charge controller, dispersion stabilizer, or the like adjutant; preparing a concd. toner, and diluting it into an electrically insulating carrier soln. composed of aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents. |
