Sewer cleaner

The sewer cleaner has been developed for removing solid deposits in large pipes, operated at low flow rate, for the transport of solids-containing liquid media . This device carries out two operations simultaneously a) loosening the solids and simultaneously mixing them with the liquid medium present to form a pumpable emulsion by means of vibratory rakes and b) the transport of this emulsion out of the particular pipe section using a suitable pump unit and appropriately dimensioned transport line. The prerequisite for this cleaning operation is that an adequate amount of liquid is present in the pipe section to be cleaned, since the liquid must assume the function of carrying the loosened solids to be transported. The sewer cleaner is designed such that it can be introduced through the narrowest access openings of the large pipes and used with low time consumption. The forward movement of the device in the section to be cleaned is carried out by rope traction. The energy consumption required to operate the device is low in comparison with the cleaning processes hitherto known. e
