Crosslinkable derivatives containing acrylic ester linkages are prepared by the reaction of a polyepoxide (compounds having a plurality of GROUPS) WITH AN ACRYLIC ANHYDRIDE OF A MONOCARBOXYLIC ACID, CH2=C(Y)COOOCR'. The derivatives are crosslinked readily by ultraviolet light and ionizing radiations as well as by chemical initiators, and can be used for the preparation of homopolymers and copolymers. They find utility as casting, potting, laminating and molding compounds, as coatings and impregnants, electrical insulators and the like.
