The invention relates to a testing device for vehicle headlamps having a vertically extending column which is arranged on a movable foot part and supports the optics box in a height-adjustable fashion. The column is mounted rotatably in a vertical bore of the foot part. In addition to the vertical bore, the foot part has a horizontally extending bore which is inserted into a cylindrical bolt which can be rotated by a lever. The bolt has an eccentric by means of which the column, which can be rotated in the vertical bore, can be fixedly clamped in each position.
