Planetary gear with circulation lubrication

This planetary gear (8) is adapted to the operating requirement of current-generating wind-driven power stations. It is designed so that, seated on the top of a high machine tower (2), it generates scarcely any vibrations, specifically both from the point of view of this mechanical construction and as a result of its lubrication. For the compact and light-weight design, the generator (19) is flanged directly on the gear (8), and the hub (5) of the wind-power machine (4) is arranged cantilevered on the drive shaft (7) of the gear (8). At the same time, the gear (8) is rotatably mounted about its mid-axis (12) on its opposite end faces (18, 18a) and is supported in a sprung manner in a symmetrical arrangement by two torque supports (15). The lubrication comprises two systems, on the one hand the circulation lubrication and on the other hand a splash lubrication. The automatic change-over to the latter takes place by means of a control device (29) when the current supply is cut off and consequently the mechanically stressed parts of the gear (8) are relieved. The splash lubrication is caused by a bypass (25) which bridges a shut-off valve (23) in the run-off pipe (21) of the lubricating system and the highest point of which projects above the lower regions (27) of the gear.
