<p>PURPOSE:To enable an increased surface area of a getter film to be exposed in a tube when external heating is performed, without causing any floating of a getter member powder within an annular metallic case, by making the packing density of said getter member powder contained in said annular metallic case almost homogeneous at all areas. CONSTITUTION:After about half a given amount of a getter member powder is packed into an annular metallic case by a pressure of 80-130kg/cm<2>, the remaining part of the above getter member powder is packed into the annular case by a pressure of 100-150kg/cm<2>. By the means mentioned above, the packing density of the getter member powder contained in the annular case is adjusted to be 3.8-5.0mg/mm.<3> at all areas.</p> |
