A show cabinet having a covering made of flat material which can be rolled up, in particular a roller blind covering, is described, in which the lower edge of the covering can be held in the covering position in contact with the worktop without any attachment means having to be provided on the worktop. In a preferred exemplary embodiment, the lower strip of a roller blind covering is provided with two connecting rods which are mounted so as to be pivotable on the frame parts arranged next to the opening. The strip and the connecting rods are designed to be so heavy that their own weight holds the roller blind securely in the covering position.
