A cover which can be attached to the frame and is intended for the rear wheel of a vehicle has a half disc made of a suitable, UV-resistant plastic, in particular a partially crystalline thermoplastic, with a cavity for receiving the upper half of the rear wheel; this plastic half disc is attached to the axle of the rear wheel or to the frame; the side surfaces of the plastic half disc are at least partly provided with a layer of a light-reflective material.
