PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of toughness of welded metal and heat affected zone by using three electrodes and specifying the distance between electrodes, welding current of the second and third electrodes and arc voltage. CONSTITUTION:Material 1 to be welded are welded using electrode wires 3, 8, 9 and surface flux 6. Backing is a copper strapping plate 2 and backing flux 4 sprinkled to form a layer on it. The distance between the first electrode wire 3 and the second electrode wire 8 is 300mm. or more. There is potential difference between the electrode wires 8 and 9 and the distance between the center of wires is 15mm. or less. Current and voltage of the second and third electrodes are adjusted to satisfy 1,400A<=A2+A3<=2,200A, 700A<=A2<=1,300A, 600A<=A3<= 1,100A, A2-100A<=A2, V3-5V<=V2<=V3+5V, 30V<=V2<=47V where A2, A3 are current of the second electrode 8 and third electrode 9, and V2, V3 are arc voltage respectively. |
