PURPOSE:To obtain the titled heat transfer printer capable of preventing the deformation of a base due to thermal expansion and also of preventing the occurrence of uneven print densities by using a system in which the transfer sheet is cooled from the base side before being separated from a receiving recording sheet immediately after passing through a heat transfer part. CONSTITUTION:A transfer ink sheet 1 and a receiving recording sheet S are lapped on each other by paired rollers, passed through a heat transfer part, and then separated from each other at the position of the roller 5. The ink sheet 1 is cooled from the base side by cooling air 8 from a fan 7 in such a way as to effectively prevent the deformation of the base due to thermal expansion or to restore it to original form and prevent the separation of ink effectively. |
