PURPOSE:To display a discolored part in an intensified mode and to generate an alarming sound when a specified reference value is exceeded, by regenerating a chromaticity difference together with a color image by a display part, and using a color video camera for a conventional endoscope. CONSTITUTION:A color video camera 1 is provided in an endoscope. A composite image signal using three primaries of R, G and B or a subcarrier is obtained from a color signal processing circuit in the color video camera 1 through a terminal 21. The output signal from the color video camera 1 is guided to an image monitor 3 in a display part 5 and also to a real time chromaticity detector 2. Then the chromaticity difference is detected. The output of the chromaticity detector 2 is guided to a chromaticity differece monitor 4 in the display part 5, and the black and white or color display in correspondence with the chromaticity is performed. The display of the chromaticity is not the chromaticity itself but the intensified display of the change in chromaticity. By observing both the chromaticity monitor and the image monitor 3, recognition of the discolored part can be ensured. A specified value is preset by a judging device 6. When the change in chromaticity exceeding the specified value occurs on the screen, an alarming sound can be generated by an alarming means 7. |
