PURPOSE:To make a titled device adaptable up to a circular frame without guide rails and to improve welding quality and welding efficiency, by suspending the welding device on the frame, running the same, bisecting a traveling carriage and connecting the bisected carriages by means of a pin. CONSTITUTION:A traveling carriage 4 is held in a normal attitude by means of support rolls 6, and is horizontally travelable stably without guide rails as it is run on a circular frame 2 by the rotation of a driving wheel 5. Since the front wheel 4a and rear wheel 4b of the carriage 4 are connected by means of a joint pin 7, the carriage can travel smoothly by following up universally not only linear but also arc frames. The operator is simply required to set a handle 11 for cross positions in cross and vertical positions by the operation of a vertical driving motor 9 in order to position a welding torch 13; the remaining positioning is accomplished by an electromagnetic copying device 14 which operates automatically to make fine adjustment by a servocontrol motor 12 for a cross direction and a servocontrol motor 10 for a vertical direction. |
