PURPOSE:To enhance the working efficiency of a plasma gun, by a method wherein said plasma gun is formed into a portable hand gun shape and the surface of an object to be treated is irradiated with a plasma ion by the proximal manipulation of a worker. CONSTITUTION:A plasma generating apparatus constituted from an electrode 3 and a dielectric 2 is mounted to the leading end part of a hand gun 7 having a handle 9. In this structure, the surface of an object 1 to be treated is brought into contact with the plasma generating part provided to the leading end part of the hand gun 7 and voltage is applied from an AC power source 8 by a proximal control switch 5. The surface of the object 1 to be treated is subjected to activation treatment by irradiating plasma generated in the gap 4 between the object 1 to be treated and the plasma generating part at the leading end of said gun. This hand gun can be also attached to an automatic apparatus movable up-and-down, left-and-right and back-and-forth with respect to the object 1 to be treated, for example, the leading end of a robot. |
