PURPOSE:To enable to reset the operational condition in a simple, prompt and reliable manner at the time when malfunctioning is caused, by producing a supervising signal at each period in synchronism with a top dead point signal, and judging that some trouble is caused with a control apparatus when the level of the supervising signal is not equal to that of the signal at the same time point of the previous period. CONSTITUTION:When malfunctioning of an electronic control circuit 1 is caused through uncontrollable operation of program, a signal S4 is not poduced normally and a supervising signal is not inverted, so that the level of a supervising signal S3 becomes equal to that of a supervising signal S5 during the while when a top dead point signal S1 is produced. Under such circumstances, a trouble supervising circuit 6 judges that some trouble is caused with the circuit 1 and the circuit 6 furnishes a reset signal S6 for restarting of the control apparatus from its terminal 6c to the control circuit 1 so as to lower the level of the signal S5 along with falling of the level of the reset signal S6. Resultantly, the control circuit 1 is reset by the reset signal S6 and the level of the supervising signal S3 becomes low. Subsequently, the level of the supervising signal S3 becomes high after executing initial processing, and then the control apparatus is operated on the basis of the top dead point signal S1, thus cmpleting resetting of the control circuit with ease. |
