PURPOSE:To provide an auxiliary that can be used under welding conditions within a wide range for high-frequency welding of polyester molded items, comprising a specified organic water-soluble quaternary ammonium salt compound and a water-soluble urea compound. CONSTITUTION:An organic water-soluble quaternary ammonium salt compound of the formula I : wherein R1 represents -(CH2)l- in which l is from 1 to 3; R2 and R3 each represent 1-3C (hydroxy)alkyl; R4 represents 1-3C (hydroxy)alkyl, (halogen-substituted)benzyl, etc.; and X represents a halogen, acetic acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid or methyl sulfuric acid residue, and a water-soluble urea compund of the formula II: wherein X represents O, NH or S; Y represents hydrochloric acid or phosphoric acid; R12-R15 represents H, 1-20C alkyl, alkoxyl, hydroxyalkyl, -(CH2O)l-H wherein l is from 1 to 20, or -(CH2CH2O)l-H, are formulated into a 0.1-20wt% aqueous solution with the weight ratio of the compound of formula I to that of formula II being 95:5-5:95. |
