PURPOSE:To automatically tilt a seat down forward by the inertial force of a seat, by hinging a lower rail to the front side of a seat supporting frame, and as well by providing a locking mechanism which is released when the seat is moved to its frontmost position. CONSTITUTION:A seat slide device 7 is arranged on a seat supporting frame 1 on a floor 2, and a lower rail 8 is attached to the front end part of a seat supporting frame 1 through a hinge 11. There are provided between the seat slide device 7 and the seat supporting frame 1 a locking mechanism 14 which locks the lower rail 8, but releases the locking of the rail when a seat 3 is moved to its frontmost position. For example, a striker 15 and a latch 16 are used as the locking mechanism 14, and a lock releasing arm 19 is used as a releasing mechanism. |
