PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition that can provide a foamed body whose surface is good in surface smoothness and suitable for structures, by mixing a base resin and a small amount of sodium boron hydride in such a way that the sodium boron hydride is separated from the moisture in the resin. CONSTITUTION:0.003 to 0.1pts.wt. sodium boron hydride is mixed with 100pts.wt. base resin (e.g. ABS resin) in such a way that the sodium boron hydride is mixed separately from the moisture in the base resin to obtain the aimed composition. Generally, 0.1 to 10% NaBH4 are added to the base resin, the mixture is kneaded by bent type extruder to be plasticized, and is made into particles, and after the particles are dried to be freed from the adhered moisture, they are stored in a sealed manner to be used as a concentrate. The resin used as a diluent should be dried before it is used. To suppress the foaming when the composition is injected, after a pressure of 1.4kg/cm<2> (gauge pressure) or below is applied to a mold cavity, the resin is injected and loaded, and the pressure gas is released to obtain the foamed and molded item. |
