PURPOSE:To bring a round bar and a plate material to resistance welding with the high welding strength in a stable welding position, by superposing the round bar and the sheet material to each other and positioning them between opposed welding electrodes, providing a roughly V-shaped groove on the welding electrode abutting on the sheet material, and pressing them by both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Between a pair of welding electrodes 1, 2 consisting of W, etc., a round bar A consisting of an Mo wire and the sheet material B consisting of an Mo foil are superposed to each other and positioned, and pressed by said both electrodes 1, 2. Said welding electrode 1 positioned in the upper side abuts said round bar A against a surface 1a formed in a shape of a flat plane, and on the surface where the welding electrode 2 positioned in the lower side abuts on said plate material B, a roughly V-shaped groove 3 is formed. In this way, said plate material B is pressed by the round bar A and bent along said V-shaped groove 3, and wound to the lower face of the round bar A. In this state, when a voltage is applied between both the electrodes 1, 2, a current is conducted to two systems D, D through two parts C, C to which the welding electrode 1 contacts. In this way, in a stable welding position, the round bar A and the sheet material B are welded firmly in the two parts C, C.
