PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a field controller by inserting a switch to a shunt circuit connected in series with a series circuit of an exciter and a field winding and opening the switch on full-field operation. CONSTITUTION:For operate the motor in a full-field manner, voltage generated from the exciter 3 is brought to 0, the switch 6 is opened, and an induction coil 4 is detached from the field winding 12. For transfer the motor to field weakening from full-field, the switch 6 is closed, and the induction coil 4 is connected in parallel with the circuit connected in series with the field winding 12 and the exciter 3 while voltage generated from the exciter 3 is adjusted. Accordingly, the capacity of the exciter can be reduced because an output from the exciter is 0 for operating time through full-field. |
