PURPOSE:To attain the recording of excellent sound, by extracting an 1H period at each nH from a composite video signal and inserting sound information compressed by >=n-times during the extracting period. CONSTITUTION:An output of a demodulating circuit 41 amplifying and demodulating a reproducing signal extracted from a recording medium 7 is stored alternately in the 1st and the 2nd semiconductor storage memories 25, 27 through AND circuits 32, 33 where the signal of the compressed sound transmission period of 1H at each 5H is switched alternately. This stored signal reads out the output of the 1/5 frequency division circuit 9 frequency-dividing a write pulse by 1/5 as a readout pulse. The outputs of both semiconductor memories 25, 27 are applied to an OR circuit 34 to lead out an expanded and continuous digital sound signal as the output. This output is converted into an analog signal at a D/A converting circuit 48 and the original sound signal is extracted. |
