PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic receptor improved in photographic characteristics, by using a specified org. photoconductor. CONSTITUTION:The org. photoconductor is represented by general formula I in which X is a grop for combining with a benzene ring and forming an optionally substd. aromatic hydrocarbon or hetero ring, such as naphthalene or anthracene ring; R1 is H or optionally substd. alkyl; and R2 is optionally substd. alkyl. Substituents of alkyl of R1 and R2 are alkoxy, such as hydroxy, and R1 and R2 are 1-8C alkyl, and especially, straight chain alkyl, such as methyl and ethyl are desirable. From the view point of sensitivity, when R1 is H, R2 is preferably short in alkyl chain with respect to the combination of them. A typical org. photoconductor is a disazo pigment. |
