<p>The present invention relates to a method for utilizing and storing environmental energy, using a storage-medium operating by chemical reactions or sorptions, whereby in the said storagemedium, more particularly silica-gel or zeolite, exergy is accumulated at high density, during energy-charging, by a gaseous inert carrier-medium for the exergy in the storage medium, the stored exergy being removed, as required, during charging, also by means of a gaseous inert carrier-medium, from the storage, for conversion into heat or cold at a desired level. The method according to the invention is carried out in such a manner that: (a) during energy-charging, the exergy is accumulated from minor disequilibrium conditions in the environment, and/or (b) during energy-discharging, the residual exergy contained in the emerging gaseous inert carrier-medium is used for energycharging an additional storage-medium in which little or no exergy has accumulated.</p> |
