PURPOSE:A membrane containing a liquid active substance useful as a device to release the liquid active substance at a substantially constant controlled speed, consisting of a membrane having an anisotropic structure and a large number of closed-pores, wherein a carrier layer is also used as a controlling layer. CONSTITUTION:A membrane containing a liquid active substance consisting of a membrane made of a polymer such as polysulfone, polycarbonate, poly(meth) acrylate, polyamide, etc., having a large number of closed-pores, and the liquid active substance (e.g., agricultural chemical, attractant, repellent, aromatic, etc.) having a restricted solubility in the polymer at normal temperature, sealed as liquid droplets in the closed-pores. The membrane is obtained by dissolving both the active substance and the polymer in an organic solvent(preferably lower halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon) to dissolve them, having a higher volatility than the active substance, applying the solution to the surface of a proper substrate, evaporating the solvent so that the active substance in liquid droplets is dispersed and contained in the film of the polymer. |
