PURPOSE:To securely catch the thread end of a transfer tail winding by making a slack on a thread leading to an empty bobbin set in a cradle, and transferring the slacken thread toward the surface central side of the empty bobbin. CONSTITUTION:An automatic thread winding apparatus is composed of a winding apparatus body 11 which takes out thread Y from a thread supplying bobbin 10, and winds it on a bibbon B, and a bobbin transferring apparatus 13 which receives the bobbin B from a bobbin carrying apparatus 12 and transfers it to the body 11. During winding process, the bobbin B is set between a bobbin supporting part 72a, and 73a of cradles 72 and 73, and the thread Y taken out from a supplying bobbin 10, via an eyelet 54, a guide bar 46, a slack removing bar 51, and a split drum 37, is wound on the bobbin B. After a definite amount is wound, the first and the second thread shifting bars 56 and 60 are rotated successively, and slacken parts of the thread Y are formed at the transfer tail winding position. |
