PURPOSE:To make it possible to accelerate the speed of printing operation while eliminating the wastefulness thereof, in printing due to a type body, by a method wherein a type case is successively positioned with respect to paper and a hammer is run to the position of the type bod to be printed to perform printing. CONSTITUTION:For example, in performing printing of GBD-C, a hammer 4 is positioned at the line a8 of a type case (t) at the same time when printing operation is started and G of a type 2 is printed at the point of time when the type case (t) takes the position of a line b2. In the next step, the hammer 4 is moved to a line a10 while the type case (t) is moved to a line b7 to print D and, thereinafter, moved to a12-b7, a14-b7, a9-b8, a13-b9, all-bll and a15-b13 and finally print GBD-C. By this method, the positioning number of the type case high in inertia force due to movement is reduced and the positioning number of the hammer capable of running rapidly is increased and the hammer is operated one time or more in each line to eliminate the wastefulness of printing operation and to enhance a printing speed. |
