Solid Na amoxycillin was obtained by treating isopropylalcohol with NaOH, followed by spray-drying. Thus, 425mL 2NNaOH was added to a mixt. contg. 335g amoxycillin, 506mL isopropyl alcohol, and 810mL distilled water at 24˜30≦̸C with vigorously stirring. After filtration, the resulting filtrate was spray-dried to give Na amoxycillin; the spray dryer inlet and outlet temps. were 155˜200≦̸C and 95˜100≦̸Cresp.
