PURPOSE:To make a device into a simple form and to process with a key operation even when the inputted formula is complicated by providing a means to reduce fractions to a common denominator, a means to reduce a fraction and a means to instruct the processing of the reduction to common denominator and the processing of the reduction of fraction. CONSTITUTION:When the formula is inputted in a key input part 1, after the formula data are sent to a control part 2, the data are stored into an input type memory part 6. A converting formula obtained by the formula converting processing is inputted to a converting formula memory part 9, after the formula converting processing is completed, the processing of the reduction to common denominator is executed, and when the processing of the reduction to common processing is completed, the processing of the reduction of fraction is executed. By the processing of the reduction of fraction, the developing processing and the factorization processing are executed and the result is inputted to a processing type memory part 7. The processing type data stored by the processing type memory part 7 are sent and displayed to a displaying part 18. Thus, even when the inputted formula is complicated, the formula can be made into the simple form and the processing can be executed by the simple key operation.
