The invention relates to a process and device for drying fibrous or granular materials. There are various energy or power generating devices such as oil-fired boilers, diesel engines etc. that release significant amounts of waste heat in their outlet gases and cooling water. The aim of the invention is to provide a process and device for utilizing this waste heat.
