<p>PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency for manufacturing a pipe joint, and also to minimize variations of a degree of adhesion of a pipe body and a flange, by controlling a motor for operating a pipe expanding part through an ultrasonic control part for measuring the thickness of the flange and the pipe body. CONSTITUTION:A pipe body 2 is inserted into a hole of a flange 1, also a pipe expanding part 3 is inserted into the pipe body 2, and a motor 5 is operated by a motor control part 6, by which an expansion mechanism of the pipe expanding part 3 is operated. As a result, outward force is provided to the inside circumferential face of the pipe body 2, and the pipe body 2 expands. In that case, an arithmetic circuit part 8 of the control part 6 calculates a calculated value WA of a reduction rate of total thickness including the flange 1 and the pipe body 2, and outputs it to an automatic stopping circuit part 9. The circuit part 9 compares the calculated value WA with a target value Wt, stops the motor 5 in case of Wt<=WA, and the expanding work of the pipe body 2 is ended. Thereafter, the pipe expanding part 3 is contracted by inverting the motor, and is drawn out of the pipe body 2.</p> |
