PURPOSE:To switch a system of an input and output device in accordance with contents of a control register, by providing a control register provided with a system definition area and a switching command area, so that the control register can be subjected to access from a channel and a panel. CONSTITUTION:A command for connecting an input and output device 5 to a host system 1 is sent to a monitoring device 7 from a channel having a CPU 4 for controlling the whole system and a panel 8, and when its command word is written in a switching command area in a control register 9, a switching controlling circuit 10 refers to a system definition area in the control register 9, and decides the way how a system switching circuit 11 is operated from system definition information, in order that the input and output device 5 can be switched to the host system 1. Subsequently, in accordance with its decision, the system switching circuit 10 is controlled, and the input and output device 5 is connected to the host system 1. |
