PURPOSE:To remove the heat energy generated in a flywheel and improve the cooling characteristic of the flywheel device by feeding the cooling gas through the center hole of flywheel disks. CONSTITUTION:A flywheel 13 comprised of multiple disks 14 provided with a center hole 14a is connected to a generator motor 1 through a hollow middle shaft 3, and a thrust collar 16 is fitted to the lower end of the flywheel 13. A partition wall 21 partitioning the oil in a lower bracket 19 is provided on the inner periphery of the thrust collar 16, and the cooling gas is fed to the center hole 14a of disks 14 of the flywheel 13 through this partition wall 21. Accordingly, the heat energy generated in the flywheel 13 can be removed by feeding the cooling gas to the center hole 14a of disks 14 of the flywheel 13 through the partition wall 21 in the direction of an arrow A with a cooling fan, etc. |
