PURPOSE:To efficiently remove the heat energy generated in a flywheel by providing vent paths feeding the cooling gas in the radial direction on disks of a flywheel and feeding the cooling gas in the radial direction of the flywheel. CONSTITUTION:A flywheel 13 comprised of multiple disks 14 provided with a center hole 14a is connected to the lower portion of a generator motor 1 through a hollow middle shaft 3, and a thrust collar 16 is fitted to the lower end of the flywheel 13. A partition wall 21 partitioning the oil in a lower bracket 19 is provided on the inner periphery of the thrust collar 16, the cooling gas is fed to the center hole 14a of disks 14 of the flywheel 13 through the partition wall 21, and further the cooling gas is fed through multiple radial vent paths 22 penetrating the inner periphery and outer periphery of the disks 14 as shown by an arrow B, thus the heat energy generated in the flywheel 13 can be efficiently removed. |
