<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture hot-water at an extremely low cost by a method wherein an internal-combustion engine, for driving the compressor of a heat pump, is dipped in heat medium, such as water or the like, in a heat insulating vessel. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulating vessel 1 is filled with water 2 as the heat medium and an internal-combustion engine 3, equipped with a float 5 for increasing the buoyancy thereof, is dipped into the water. The output of the shaft of the internal-combustion engine drives a compressor 4 of the heat pump. The exhaust gas of the engine 3 is discharged to the outside through an exhaust pipe 9 equipped with a heat exchanger 8. A big amount of heat, retrieved by the heat medium 2, is taken out by a conventional means to utilize for room heating or hot-water supplying while the cost of the hot-water may be reduced remarkably by utilizing in parallel the conventional heat pump using the compressor.</p> |
