发明名称 METHOD FOR DRIVING FUEL INJECTION PUMP OF DIESEL ENGINE
摘要 PURPOSE:To stabilize the fuel injection time and injection operation of a fuel injection pump, by mounting the fuel injection pump to the rear of the cam shaft of an engine body to drive it directly by the cam shaft. CONSTITUTION:A mounting plate 8 of a fuel injection pump 2 is secured to a mounting stand 13 so that the mounting plate is positioned opposite to the mounting stand, and a driving shaft 5 is consecutively coupled to the end of a cam shaft 4 by spline engagement. In a manner described above, the fuel injection pump 2 is mounted to the rear of an engine body 1, and thereby, in the front of the engine body 1, a timing belt 6 stretches over only pulleys 3a and 4a of a crank shaft 3 and a cam shaft 4, respectively, through tension pulleys, not shown. In this constitution, the rotation of the crank shaft 3 drives the cam shaft 4 through the medium of the timing belt 6 to generate operation of a tappet valve mechanism 12, and the cam shaft 4 directly drives a drive shaft 5 to conduct operations necessary to inject the fuel.
