PURPOSE:To avoid the deformation or denaturalization of an ion selection layer by use of a hot melt type adhesive excellent in the water resistance and adhesivity for bonding of solid electrodes on a porous bridge having a non-water-permeable layer on a lower layer. CONSTITUTION:In an ion activity measuring apparatus provided with ion selection electrode couples 10 and 10, a porous bridge 20, a liquid receiving holes 28 and 29, a lower mount 31, an upper mount 32 and a potential difference measuring device 51, the porous bridge 20 has a porous member 21 bonded securely on a recess section 33 of the upper mount 32 while the recess section is bonded securely on an ion selection layer of an ion selection electrode through a laminar hot melt adhesion 23 in the perimeter of two through holes on the side facing the ion selection electrode. A hot melt adhesive is such that the ion selection layer can be bonded without deformation or denaturalization thereof in substance simply by heating it so much just to soften and applying an appropriately small pressure thereon. Such a hot melt adhesive layer can replace a non-water- permeable layer provided on a lower layer of the porous bridge. |
